Fur-Ever Love Pet Photo Contest

Nationwide Pet Insurance and Consultative Insurance Group - A Relation Company teamed up again as the presenting sponsor of the Olmsted Chamber of Commerce and Kiwanis Club of Olmsted Falls Annual Fur-Ever Love Pet Photo Contest. 

The highlights:

• 30 contestants entered for the chance to win, including dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, ponies and a donkey.
• $1625 fundraising to support initiatives for children in the community
• Contest website viewed over 1000 times.
• Congratulations to Buddy, Tammy Sue Clem's Guinea pig, who brought home a ribbon for 2nd place in the Most Varied Pet category.

Our Columbia SC Office is Moving

We are partnering with The Yarborough Agency - A Relation Company and are moving from our St Andrews Road location to 1034 Briargate Circle, Columbia SC 29210

We look forward to welcoming you to our new office location on Monday, May 2nd -- we are on the right when you enter the building.

Welcome John Flowers to Our Team

Exciting news:  John Flowers just joined Consultative Insurance Group - A Relation Company, one of the fastest-growing insurance brokers in the country.  Great people, great products, and great service! 

John joined our agency in 2022 bringing with him over 20 years of insurance experience as a licensed risk advisor.  For many years, John owned his own Nationwide agency and also worked on the broker side.  John specializes in assisting clients with management of commercial risks through partnership, strategy, and understanding of their insurance needs.  

He is licensed in Property and Casualty, Life and Health, and Variable insurance products.  In 2021, he acquired his Construction Risk Insurance Specialist (CRIS) designation.

Outside the office, John is an avid sports fan who enjoys exercising, outdoor activities and traveling.  He is also quite the artist and enjoys creating pen and ink sketches and portraits.

How to brush a pet's teeth: 
Step 1: Lift the upper lip and angle the brush along the gum line at a 45 degree angle.
Step 2: Use a circular motion to clean the outside of the teeth, spending about 30 seconds on each quadrant.
Step 3: If your pet is cooperative, brush the insides of the teeth with a similar motion.
Step 4: Reward your pet for a job well done! Be sure to offer lots of treats and praise.
Get regular checkups with a professional
Just like people, pets should get a dental checkup one to two times a year.  Your vet can perform an oral exam of overall tooth and gum health and do a more thorough cleaning than you can at home.  Regular exams and professional cleanings help to prevent plaque and tartar build-up that can lead to serious gum disease, bone destruction and tooth loss.
