When you set up your first email account, you created a password to access it.  Many of us either put our name, a pet's name, a child's name or even our address.  Fast forward to now and most passwords require 8 characters -- including a special character, an upper case letter, a lowercase letter, and a number.  Other fun tips with passwords, include changing them frequently (usually recently after we have memorized it), and not using a previous password! Technology is testing our memory for sure! 

As fun as it is to come up with new and exciting passwords, why is it necessary? Computer hackers make it necessary.  Hackers can best be described as skilled computer programmers or skilled computer experts.  They have various skills, knowledge, and intent and could be lurking nearby to steal your identity, your funds, your friends, or simply to disrupt your life.
