The month of August has found Consultative Insurance Group hopping with activity!
For starters, our Olmsted Falls and Middleburg Heights office locations joined forces and participate in the annual Olmsted Falls Heritage Days Festival parade. We enjoyed the cooler temperatures, but could have done without the rain just as the parade started! This year we started from a new location on a new parade route. We had a great time and Nate is ready for next year!
For the past few years, Consultative Insurance Group has supported the local K9 officers by donating a bullet and stab proof vest to a local K9 officer. We have had the pleasure of supporting K9 Rico (2015), K9 Gunnar (2015), K9 Chase (2016), and this year K9 Tyson. This year, the Ohio Farm Bureau partnered with Consultative Insurance Group and we are happy our joined funds will be towards K9 Tyson’s bullet and stab proof vest.
Consultative Insurance Group also hosted the annual K9 Dog Demo during the Olmsted Falls Heritage Days Festival, where B.A.R.K. (Buckeye Area Regional K9s) trained K9s show the community what they have learned!
Nifty Dog Shop, a local downtown Olmsted Falls merchant, partnered with Consultative Insurance Group again this year raising funds towards future K9 vesting by guessing the number of dog bones in the jar. With your guesses, we were able to raise $111 for Vested Interest in K9s! Congratulations to our 2017 winner, Joyce of Parma Heights, who guessed 650 dogbones in the jar!
Do not forget our ongoing collection of plastic bags in each of our office locations. By donating your plastic bags, you are helping a local lady create sleeping mats for the homeless. We have been collecting bags since last September, and have donated many, many, many bags. Pictures no longer do it justice. We will be happy to combine our plastic bags with your plastic bags towards the worthy cause. This special lady started off with 13 seven foot mats and the latest count is 40 seven foot mats. For those who have already donated, we thank you. We will continue to collect plastic bags for her ministry until we hear otherwise. If you are interested in learning how to make the sleeping mats, just ask – and we will be happy to share the instructions with you! (Email: firstname.lastname@example.org to receive instructions.)
