When we were young children, we all had an idea of our future careers, and could easily answer the question “When I grow up, I want to be a ________.”
We presented this question to the Consultative Insurance Team, along with “What was your childhood reasoning on that career choice?” Enjoy our results!
I wanted to be a teacher!
I wanted to be a teacher. I had a really sweet teacher, and I wanted to be like her when I grew up.
Mary Jo Koenig
I wanted to be a Preschool Teacher which I was for years.
I wanted to be a secretary like my sister! Ha! Ha!
I wanted to be a doctor when I grew up. I wanted to save my parents from pain and suffering.
I wanted to have a travel agency. My dad would sit and read, plot, and make endless phone calls when planning a trip, and it would literally take over our dining room table for long time periods. We did it together, and it was super fun, even if the trip didn’t materialize for whatever reason. for years I collected maps and brochures etc. and would pretend with my friends, so then as I came of age to being an adult, I realized that the need for such was not nearly so great as the internet had exploded on the seen, and why pay for someone to plan your trip, when someone is probably going to post something for free.
I wanted to be a Disney Princess that worked at Disney World. I feel like that’s all that needs to be said. Haha!! 👑
I wanted to be a physical therapist.
I wanted to be an animal vet.
I wanted to be an Insurance Agent like my Dad. I know that sounds crazy but when I was kid I would go to the office to hang out. At that time, I would do paper filing. As I got older, my dad would sometimes let me quote. Didn’t need a license back then. I’m talking 40 years ago.
I wanted to be either a cowgirl or a teacher.
