“It sure is cold outside!” This statement has been pretty common, especially in the Southeastern portion of the United States just this week, as the temperatures rarely reach below the teens for an extended amount of time. Southerners would be more apt to appreciate the weather if it were justified by an accumulation of snow as long as it did not prohibit any favored or necessary activities. One good thing out of this Arctic blast may be a reduction in pests.
